Ban slippery slope arguments!
Slippery slope arguments are extremely overused by both sides of the political spectrum. It's the standard argument someone pulls out when they don't like X but don't have a persuasive reason, so they claim that X leads to Y. It's a classic sign that they don't have a leg to stand on. I suggest flaming these arguments. In the 1% of the time that it may be appropriate, the proponent should say exactly why and how the slip will occur.
I distinguish slippery slope from arguing that your opponent is inconsistent in supporting X but not supporting Y. That's fine.
Thank you for letting me get this off my chest.
