Unmasking the Face on Mars

New high-resolution images and 3D altimetry from NASA's Mars Global Surveyor spacecraft reveal the Face on Mars for what it really is: a mesa.

Even those smaller photos at that NASA site helped. I was looking at the smaller photos at the msss.com site before, thus my 'collapsed rock and sand' idea. There is definitely is a high elevation peak there. The 'smile' is only on the viewer's left side of that peak. *g* J/K!
