Over one-third of the folks would greet them with hand guns and bazookas, one third would be running hysterically into the hills, north, south or wherever they could be 'safe' and the final third would be racing to ask for a homeworld tour.

Both the CON and PRO are imbalanced on the issue.

The government, in its judicious wisdom, withholds any pertinent or relevant data to the ET question - thereby saving lives. By muddling the issue and keeping it all vague and ridiculous...there is no chance of Oct. 31, 1938 repeating itself.

Cute story but you extrapolate WAY too much thinking that the govt has any serious concern about this issue such that UFO stuff is supressed. Face it, UFOs are just another aspect of human behaviour expressed in sightings of Chupracabra and 19th century "fairies".
