Hey Al,
While I don't particularly value the work of 'Cydonauts' or annomaly hunters, I remember the exchange or reference made between Tom, who I believe mentioned the value of having people pore over the images with a fine tooth comb.
I happen to agree. Much as amateur astronomers often contribute to noting celestial objects, or the SETI at home project which uses otherwise dormant computers, anyone - besides the legally blind can contribute to reviewing imagery. Not interpretatation or analysis - but simply locating unusual formations.
The behavior of Mars Revealer, and his demeanor - which best I can tell is an epithet happy imitation of Harry Mudd from the original Sar Trek episodes - is besides the point.
I don't hang out at 'cydonaut' sites. Much as I don't hang out around 'crop circle','wicca/druid' or 'Goth' sites.
I know you and Don have made a personal mission out of debating and arguing with these folks - and that's your perogative. But in my book - that's a MAJOR waste of time.
I have seen folks get mired at sites and interact with folks you wouldn't talk too on the streets. They let someone mess with their head and they personalize the whole thing.
There are hundreds if not hundreds of thousands of sites where views I find ridiculous, absurd or offensive are posted.
I am not going to waste my physical time - or my thinking time worrying about it. For me, at least, it is WAY not worth it.
My opinion,
