While I don't particularly value the work of 'Cydonauts' or annomaly hunters, I remember the exchange or reference made between Tom, who I believe mentioned the value of having people pore over the images with a fine tooth comb.
Again, there is no such thing as a "Cydonaut"... To use that term, IMO, is an insult to every person who has applied themselves to learn something... To use that term, again, implies that these people are now "peers" of DOCTOR Robert Zubrin and DOCTOR Mike Malin because they now have a "PROFESSIONAL" Title. Do you really believe that??? They wish to be included in the coversation and considered "peers" of people who have done "just a bit more" than stare at "anomaly" images...
To show you how stupid this is, Suppose you were a Medical Doctor who specialized in Cancer Research. There was a group of High School Dropouts who read a web page or 2 on Cancer and suddenly decided that they were "Medanauts"... Would you "respect" their work??? Would you invite them into your research facility to go over the evidence with a "fine tooth comb"??? Would their rants be valid when they announced to the world that Dr. SDAI-Tech1 be "ya pr*ck, hahaha"....???
The behavior of Mars Revealer, and his demeanor - which best I can tell is an epithet happy imitation of Harry Mudd from the original Sar Trek episodes - is besides the point.
At least Harry had some beautiful women. Gary is simply an idiot..
I don't hang out at 'cydonaut' sites.
Probably because there's no such thing as "Cydonauts"....
I know you and Don have made a personal mission out of debating and arguing with these folks - and that's your perogative. But in my book - that's a MAJOR waste of time.
I really don't have a personal mission. But I do have a problem with Welfare Bums calling all vets "murderers" on Memorial Day. These are the people (our men & women in uniform)I have the most respect for in the world and I do tend to get overly emotional when someone says that I should "respect" their views. Call me overly patriotic & old fashioned if you want, but thats just the way it is.. Same goes for other failures in life who want to badmouth people who have applied themselves in their given field.
