NASA likes their ships white. Sometimes they'll go so far as egg-shell, but really, there's only so much you can do with white.
Maybe mauve, or an even lighter lavender -- maybe the soft greens, like chartreuse...? Picture it in pastels.
Hmm-m... How about a two-tone look, sort of blue-on-blue. I mean, you are talking about an all boy crew, right? Well then, definitely, blue is the base to use.
