I regret having posted this..
There often more than one geological interpretations, and in most cases there is no clear cut better one until people step foot on the place and agree that all the previous one are superceded by the new reality...Nearly all the other lakes I have seen show dark bands which are clearly just deposits of some sort or other (and I have used that argumane tbefore).
I have four pics on my table which show reflections on lakes. And three show the effect to which Marcia is referring.
As for this one. I was never implying 'water' per-se existed in the lake. But I was implying that this picture has a reflection of some sort.
..AND there is a before and an after pic which only differ on the lake bed.
pity that.....
