More irony
The more I reread that final quote, the funnier it seems, in a classically Orwellian sense:
In order to maintain an independent posture, the Cato Institute accepts no government funding. Contributions are received from foundations, corporations, and individuals,
From Webster's:
posture: 1) to assume a posture; esp: to strike a pose for effect. 2) to assume an artifical or pretended attitude.
I love it! They're actually telling the truth, but wording it so cleverly you might actually think that they're genuinely independent. Read the fine print before you buy!
