what do impacts on mars have to do with impacts on earth?
what do impacts on mars have to do with impacts on earth? The two planets are in different orbits with different conditions. Earth has a moon for a shield as well as a denser atmosphere. Mars has Phobos and Deimos, but little atmosphere. I would think that the differences in the planets would make what data we collect on Mars pretty much only good for determining impacts on mars, not earth. Or am I missing something here?
