Why, for tax purposes, is a geosat different from a Boeing 747 or an ocean liner. Who pays the property taxes on these? Should be the same for geosats, legally.

But the real issue is govt so big and bloated that it must find increasing sources of tax revenue to support its "services" so that folks get their "entitlements".
