theres only a few things on my mind at this point:

-netscape: with style sheets the front messages may not display all the way.

-all: get some scroll bars in the popup windows/or adjust their size. .

-all: tweak text size

I wan tot support Navigator. I should be going to the users, and not expect them to come ot me. . . i.e. I should take steps to make sure everyone can use this sights' basic features no matter what browser they use, whether it is a commandline Lynx or the latest microsoft. If more advanced browsers get better features so be it. . . we are pretty much there. The goal is to have this sight at its most basic level function as well as the old forum.

as far as adding featrues and goodies, they are extraneous to the sites ussage, if they are supported by navigator that is gravy. But they won't be in the critical path of operation.

I also wouldn' categorize peopel who use netscape as microsoft haters. Everyone is differentand like different things, I prefered netscape because of its features and the ease iin which it allowed me to do some things. . .

I urge Justin to draw a line in the sand and take the reasonable and defensible position-the high ground-that this site will comply with all recognized technical standards.

I had no idea we were in danger o fnot becoming compliant. This sight works now and will work even better when we are done with it.

Or, to put it on a more personal level: Please, give Justin a break! He's trying hard to please you, but he's on a Quixotic quest. Justin is literally working night and day-I get emails from him timestamped at 4AM!

I don't think anyone is demanding we limit the creativity. It is good policy to be back compatible as we are now. the only issue is making sure the new things work right ;-) Bottom up design. The very botom works now. . . time to shore up from there the rest, and after that expand.

let this be the last message posted here about technical details/issues witht he changeover. I know what works and what can be better and I will work on that. . . any new errors or problems should be sent to my email so we can concentrate solely on space.
