Hello,
I don't see aliens in flocks of geese and though there is no current evidence of other life or near Earth type (hospitabe planets) I cannot deny the wonders of the universe, the size of a galaxy, and the innumerable galaxies in the observable universe. When we have the ability to explore interstellar space and we do not find abundent life (which I don't think will happen) I will agree with you. You are making statements from one tiny rock in the milky way, please try and realize the amount of space/time between objects and realize we can only look at far away galaxies and not really explore them star by star, planet by planet. It's wrong for either one of us to state our opinions as the "way it is" because neither one of us really know. I also put two points to you :
1. As far as size goes, three words - Hubble Deep Field
2. Concerning life - Think about deep sea hydrothermal vents; life thrives in total darkness, under extreme pressure, and in a toxic (to humans) environment.
see ya VINCE
