Fantasy

God is love. God is goodness. God is everywhere around you and within all things.

That was the definition I was given.

God is perceived by the individual. You may call it a "belief" but I think God is more of an interpretation of the events in one's life as they occur. I have no doubt you feel God when you reach the top of a majestic peak. It's a feeling that hits you in the heart chakra or "Anahata".

God is those things that bring a tear to your eye. Like sometimes listing to classical music or taking in a glorious sunset. Or perhaps reading of the self-sacrifice of an individual or certain collective efforts to do “good” for others.

I’ve had many mind-blowing coincidences where, when I really needed it, help just appeared. These were things which I can’t attribute to coincidence.

I think there is a thread that runs through all of us and shows itself if you look for it, if you feel for it. I think Raoul perceived it when he used to talk about “Humanism” even though he subscribed to the secular version.

I’m getting a little older and the end of life occupies my thoughts more often then when I was young. I don’t know if there is an afterlife but I recently came to the realization that if there is, we’ve been there before. I’m not talking about reincarnation but the simple fact that we will return to the same place we were before our birth, wherever that is. It makes accepting my mortality a little easier.
