they are promoting it somewhat heavily but it looks silly. Same gravity, no helmets/airsupply needed. it might as well be 'Ghosts of Arizona' from the previews. I saw John Carpenters interview on it on the daily show and he seemed to indicate that it was jsut something he got paid for. . . not like they tried at all.

Honestly, is anyone going to see it?

I think about what they could do with a mars movie if they tried. Its gotten realy popular to tether character on the end of a rope and have them hop through the air (Matrix, Crouching Tiger hidden dragen, (planet of the apes [to get the apes to run]) all of the it to unrealistic levels, but it just 'looks cool'. Whereas mars or the moon is the only realistic place this stuff could go on. Why not apply these to the movies?

Furthermor elets look at what mars movies have been really opular and high budget - "total Recall". Any Mars movie is not going to be good/success if it is 'about mars' it has to be a [plot that is developed independently form the setting, them applied to it later. . . . and getting Swartzeneger or Jackie Chan involved would hurt either.

-Justin Kelly (wonders why swartzeneger has done so many 'wrong identity' movies)
