Re: Apology to BarryD

Apology accepted.

I have always supported the scientific method but also
recognize that science is not a democratic process.
However, in the end, the only thing that matters with
science is the data.

Whether the data get a fair hearing from the scientific
community is another thing.

Look at the example of Antony Von Leuwenhoeck's countless
drawings of microorganisms that he made while observing
with the first compound microscopes of the time and then
sent to the Royal Society of London. He was scourned by
the current center of scientific knowledge (Royal
Society) and went to his grave not being acknowledged by
them as the father of microbiology, of which he is.

But eventually, the validity of scientific data will been
bourne out in the history books. It always is.
