Hi Nick,
Foaming at the mouth isn't too good ..you might consider getting that checked;-)
I have a whole bunch of volumes on the solar system...you name it, I probably have it...I also have a lot of the NASA releases and literature on much current accepted theory. so I could quote some oft-repeated nonsense about the fusion furnace theory, (which Wes Huntress told me must be accepted since it's been around for fifty years without any serious challenges) and about spontaneously condensing hydrogen or about pieces of this condensing hydrogen star breaking off and spinning out in space cooling down and forming planets.
However, I could take some tanks of hydrogen out on the shuttle ...let them out into space and not see any fusing mini-stars form or even condensation occur. Clearly something is missing - and I want to know what.
So while Bethe was creative - he was not necessarily accurate.
My obsession with cores is fundamental to understanding the solar system and its development - for if we don't know what causes planets to form or we accept the wrong theory - like a house built on quicksand - future research in many other areas will be wrong.
The core of a planet and a star - the most elusive of items and most difficult to research are the 'hearts' of planets and our solar system and has everything to do with even the detailed debate about life on mars or water. An alive core and all the fields it generates spur activity, plate tectonics, etc.
I may be wrong...but I know fusion furnace theory has lots of holes and the missing neutrinos are a dead giveaway that the old 1948 view of the sun is obsolete and due for revisions.
We know very little - I certainly do not have all the answers - but I do have a theory. As more data and better technology peer deeper into the mysteries of cores and fields and even the very construction of an atom itself - we will be able to breakthrough the fog of star formation and function and produce less vague theories of planetary development.
I don't mind being considered inane or out of lockstep with the 'accepted theories'.
I would love to debate any massive flaws in my reasoning...I always welcome a chance to clarify and improve my opinions.
There's no reason to get all upset or to foam - if my views are that warped - just feel sorry for me and shed tears for my clearly pathetic position ;-)
Cerebral sclerosis may have set in.
Best wishes,
