I have to be awake this time of morning, two days a week.. sometimes it's worth it.

I know, E', I feel the same way and I've been, in a way, thankfull that my husband has had to go to work in the wee hours of the morning.

the Plieades and the Orion Nebula look pitiably dim by comparison

The morning I saw them, Orion and the Pleiades outshined everything else (except the crescent moon and yes, Venus and Jupiter were there too).
After a while it looked as if Orion was pulling the morning dawn sheet under him... covering us with the morning light.
