It's still quite different though, even thought the latitiude is similar. The channels are from a crater rim. I suppose if the area was covered in dunes the fluid might leak out in a similar way to Russell crater. The dunes just below the channels are fairly similar and there are a few dunes that cover the ends of some channels..
