Re: Dang, we northern Westcoasters are SOL. (n/t)
According to Lunar Occultations.com there's another Saturn occultation coming up on February 21, 2002 and it looks like the show will be visible in the west coast.
[On February 20th, 2002 local time (February 21 UT), an occultation of Saturn will occur for most parts of North America and Western Africa. A rare opportunity will occur, to repeat a 30 year old observation and possibly put to rest, the mystery of the "lost ring". ]
Titan occultation coming up this Dec. 20th. I hope all the big and powerful scopes they listed have it down on their calendars and will post the results.
