Just what is "Obamacare" besides a cheap loaded phrase, like "death tax" or "right to life"?

Is "Obamacare" better than no insurance for the 40 some million Americans without preventative health care? Will they get better care than under the programs proposed by conservatives?

If not "Obamacare", how will those people get preventative health care? What did Bush Jr, Bush Sr., or Ronnie Reagan do for those people?
