The difference, and one many people seem fundamentally incapable of comprehending, is that with private enterprise there is more than one.
There are choices. There is competition. There is the ability to drive one entity out of business if it screws up, and reward other entities that don't. There are options, many people with many solutions. Assuming government idiots don't pass regulations demanding that all providers supply exactly the same service.
The term "Death Panel" used when discussing government health-care monopoly is singular, not plural.
It doesn't hurt to remember that.
