Another untruth perpetuated by those who would deny health care to human beings for the profit of large corporations. People have only one insurance company at a time, and only one life to live. If that insurance company turns down treatment for whatever reason, the consumer needs to appeal. If during that appeals process the consumer dies, the problem goes away and the insurance company keeps the money.
Period.
The consumer can't say they will try another company next time.
Try to keep it honest, TB, and try to find some compassion for other people. Try to imagine a life without union-won benefits, people who don't have a job any more, people with husbands, wives, children about whom they care.
In a message about Eri you expressed hope she had everything she needed. If she didn't, it's because of people who oppose universal health care. Can you imagine such mean-spirited people, turning away the Eris?
It's that simple. Every one of the 40 million citizens without health insurance in this country is a human being.
