I checked the Pending Members list and did not see anything, so apparently the sign-up process did not work. Note that Yahoo has been adding (or sometime deleting) features from the discussion groups. As you might have noted, Yahoo gives options for participating in the groups discussions: Web only, individual emails, or email digests. As far as I know, only the first option requires a Yahoo ID number (i.e., registration via Yahoo); the other two only require an email address. I would subscribe you (via your email) directly, but I do not know your exact address. If you are like me, however, you do not list your email on the Web. At any rate, you're certainly welcome in the planetary_sciences discussion group, and if you are still interested, send your email address to me via Nick Hoffman, who knows how to reach me.
