That's why I included the TES analysis of the site *At The Time The Flows Occur*.

Before this, there is total frost cover. After it, the ground thaws and in late summer can locally hit 0 centigrade, as you note, but the flows don't occur in late summer when the ground is warm. They occur in late spring, in the presence of CO2 frost.

All that white stuff in the pictures is CO2 frost and snow...
