When it's very cold (like now), the atmospheric turbulence is minimal and the pictures of the planets become ideal; but of course, those pictures depend more and more on the portable PC (mine is a PackardBell) which doesn't like low temperatures....But I also have a cold....frustration :-( But it's truly the best moment to observe Jupiter and it's moons and the red spot!
