The point where the absurdity begins

is believing a planet big enough to cause all sorts of disruptions could somehow sneek into the solar system without being visible to thousands of amateur astronomers around the world. The very idea that "the government" could keep something like that quiet in the Internet age is so pathetically absurd as to be laughable.

There are countless amateur astronomers around the world who are amateur only in the sense they aren't paid. Many of these fine people are extremely knowledgeable and have excellent equipment. If they can spot a new comet when it's still outside the orbit of Jupiter, then they'd have no trouble spotting a rogue planet.

According to the Nirmu (or whatever they call it) nitwits, this planet is only about 18 months out. That would put it in pretty close already. Sorry, but it sounds like you've bought into this absurdity. Try studying some astronomy and you'll quickly realize just how foolish this whole idea really is.
