Ha ha, Robert, you're reading my mind! Yes, it was that picture. It took me years to figure who was behind that helmeted head (well, from 1965 to 1968:-).
And Gemini allowed huge progress in manned spaceflight: spacewalks, rendez-vous, long duration, very high orbits...It's just that the AMU was never tested, because floating in space was much more difficult without ways to stuck the feet (as Cernan found out).
