Cro Magnon's Can't Jump! Seriously, an ice-age climate and cold weather selects for lighter skin (for vitamin D) and shorter, stockier people. By this time we had invented clothes, which is probably why there are no real Wooly Neanderthals.
Our ancestors either bred with Neanderthals, ate them, or both, when they weren't busy wiping almost every animal larger than a horse off the face of the Earth.
