Thanks

At least you did not put words into my mouth and then accuse me of being a liar.

I go out to hear some friends play at an Irish pub, there's a fight, I offer to spray the evil f****r down, a bouncer stops me, the miscreant gets off a lucky shot and the owner gets a broken nose and shut eye. I come home to this s***.

I hope that my short list summary of SUSPECTED and known recent impacts which I gave above answered your questions.
Some of the impact events, such as Rio Cuarto and the Australian tsunamis, have been demonstrated and are beyond question. These in and of themselves are enough to justify a far greater NASA expenditure for dealing with the NEO problem.

Among those possible impact events which are now only suspected, the bulk of the items on the list are not my own work but refer to the work of others in the NEO field. I don't know how many of them in the end will turn out to be certain and how many "false drops", but as I said above, the number currently confirmed is enough to justify higher expenditures.
