Vallee advocates the scientific analysis of UFO reports, which is clearly the only way one can realistically apply the scientific method to the transient events which characterize the UFO phenomenon.

However, it is interesting to note that his description of the cause and effects of the generalized scientifically analyzed UFO reports, and the statistically derived UFO phenomenon, closely resembles what I consider to be perhaps the only credible non-scientific witness report of this phenomenon, which is (IMHO) that of Betty Andreasson Luca.
