Wow. I am shocked. Even discounting the $10B cost by your favorite multiple (insert here), this infrastructure is affordable. Two (2!) shuttle flights?!? The technical key is easily fabricated carbon nanotubes in mass quantities. The more difficult hurdle is the vision to fund the enterprise. I never expected to see this considered before the late 2030s and more probably after 2050.
