These puzzled me too. The parallax is wrong for them to be vertical spires. If so, they would be hugely tall, and cast long shadows that we don't see. Also their north side would be in shadow.
I reckon these are actually horizontal pipe ducts that overpass the roadway, but the angle is still odd.
Gary Allen could answer these questions, except he'd be shot for doing so!
