Green Mars?
"An automated pixel-to-pixel search was performed on a 3-filter set of images (530 nm, 670 nm, 980 nm) to identify pixels where the following condition was met: 530 nm > 670 nm, and 980nm > 670 nm." - from the abstract.
A peak (or at least a bump) at 530 nm would be a dark green. (the 980 nm is infrared)
Certainly far from proof or even strong evidence of life, but interesting nevertheless.
When will the results of the conference presentation be available to us unwashed?
