I recently purchased a Orion XT10 Dobsonian reflector to replace my Celestron NexStar 8 for deep space stuff, It’s friggin’ rank and gets way out there but it’s a pain to haul around.
You get more bang for the buck with a Dob if you‘re willing to tolerate the inconvenience of its size and weight. $600 for 10 inches and the aperture is there big time.
