Yes, Robert, the weight issue is very important; last night, I drove a friend of the club to another astronomy club. His Celestron G8 was in the trunk and at one point (to take a shortcut) I drove on several kilometers of a paved road! very bumpy! He wasn't very happy about this knowing his scope might have to be very early collimated.
The purpose of yesterday's conference was about the radio detection of meteores (shoting stars and other falling satellites) combining several astro-clubs located at different places.
