One of DDT's negatives is the tendency to hang out in tissues for a long time. This is not good, even if no health problems can be directly assigned to it. Still, one has to balance the possible long-term effects on people with the obvious immediate dangers from malaria. One hopes a third solution can be found, but in the short term, DDT should be made available in certain areas of the world.
