NASA is the GOV's GOLDEN CHILD......
Since LBJ made the MSC it's homebase in Texas, along with JFK's commit to goto the moon before the end of the decade, politics has played BIG TIME in creation and matainance of NASA. To break up NASA would be foolhardy, and with the amount of contractors, subconttractors, plus various other space divisions spead arouind the USA, it would be unfeasable and PLAIN STUPID to break up NASA.
Hey, go after the FBI or CIA.
