Hi Jacob,i would add that these masses be in counter orbiting orbits. If you play around with different values it becomes a real puzzle indeed. Stator forces,pulse times different in different parts of their orbits,neutral points ( for the masses vs the total mass ) are a few to look at. An ice skater pulls their arms in to use higher rpm spinning on earth and in orbit as well.
