Re: Solar system formation
Hi Guys
John you really need a stronger mathematical basis to your theory for it to come even close to being a viable alternative.
There are quite a number of views, with varying degrees of violence in the formation of the planets, but almost all presuppose a sun that is largely centrally condensed.
The original nebula might have massed about 0.1 solar masses - enough for 100 Jupiters, if it all gravitationally fragmented and collapsed. As it happened 98.5 Jupiter masses blew away as the sun slowly started up. In its early Helmholtz phase it might have shone 10,000 times brighter than today. Violent enough?
