Well not really the largest object in space. Close to the largest deep spacecraft in space, though the Russian two Phobos spacecraft sent to Mars were heavier. Surly you knew as soon as you made that statement someone was going to come back and contradict it. ;-)

As for California culture. I always have a laugh when people from San Francisco get upset when you call it Frisco. LA is LA warts and all, and we don’t particularly care what you call it. My choice for the city’s theme song is Randy Newmans “I Love LA”. That captures the flavor of LA better than any of the stupid made up songs they try to pass off as a city song.
