The first picture is at the beginning. Look at the time. The second picture is at maximum 77%. The third picture shows the strange shadow effect you can get. It was visibly dimmer, and cooler at maximum. An aerie effect. Alas I fear my neighborhood has no interest in such astronomical events. I saw no one outside paying any attention at all to it. I felt like shouting “Hey you fools look what’s going on”!!!
