I have often wondered what the breaking point is. When is it more expensive to keep it in orbit or bring it down at Edwards? I would like to see it land here at Edwards more often. Although I didn’t have time to fight my way through LA traffic to get there, I did enjoy the nice sonic booms that echoed across Southern California. I couldn’t help but think there were a lot of people around the LA harbor area who may have thought it was a terrorist bomb going off. There’s been a lot of talk in the news lately about potential terrorist attack on the harbor. I doubt many people here even knew the shuttle was in orbit must less landing today.
