Assume we were hit.
Along the lines of an asteroid hitting the Earth.
Let me assume there is an asteroid coming our way which would hit the Earth in one month, 30 days. There is neither the means nor the time to divert it, though it's possible to blow it to pieces so that instead of one big impact there are 10 smaller ones.
Either way, it is big enough to wipe out most if not all life, certainly multi-cellular organisms which depend upon photosynthesis.
We could save material in off-the-shelf containers, and might want to leave behind the “seeds” of present species, including Man.
Any thoughts on what we would leave and how we would leave it?
