My favorite ever example of a solar prominence, very symmetric and with a suggestive supercurrent coiling around it.
....and this (top center) was the filament it sprang from. This image was taken about a week before the prominence erupted so it could be nice and centered on the disk and then was nice enough to wait until the sun had rotated to give a perfect side profile of the prominence.
