Do Galaxies have life zones? I don't think so, but someone does.

Has anyone read the No Place Like Zone article in this month’s Astronomy Magazine?

It is dealing with a theory that our Galaxy has a life zone. Basically it says that after a certain point going toward the center of the galaxy, life can not exist because of the high radiation due to all the supernovas that would occur in this dense region. Maybe, but life thrives on energy. I wouldn’t put it past life.

Then it says that outside our life zone, as you move away from the galaxies, planers that form would be small Mercury, lifeless planets. I don’t agree with that part of the article at all.

Check out the picture of the day;

It is of Iapetus

The caption says:
The dark hemisphere has been likened to tar or asphalt and is so dark that no surface details are visible. The bright icy hemisphere, likened to dirty snow, shows many large impact craters. The dark material is made of organic substances and probably includes poisonous cyano compounds.

Maybe that wouldn’t be a good place for humans to land.
