The crash of the Thunderbirds is something that still stirs your gut along with Reagan getting Shot, the Challenger Exploding and 911.
August is a good month for Aviation in the Pacific Northwest. The Blue Angels are Flying all Weekend during Seafair and next weekend is the Abbotsford International Air show featuring the Thunderbirds, Snowbirds and a B-2 demo.
IMO the T-38 is one of the nicest looking planes ever built. I wonder if it would qualify as one of the “Flying Coke Bottles.”
