Really now Raoul - Space is White!

Space is white!

Every inch of the sky sends radiation of multitudes of frequencies and wavelengths.

It's all in the eyes. Humans on earth are insensitive to many radiations so as to filter the intensity of the sun - but if we we had "infinite eyes" or the closest thing to "all seeing vision" - space would be blindingly white - a pulsating sea of radiant energy. It would be very much like looking into the sun itself.

Our eyes blend light wavelengths to create and identify color. White being created when a multitude of most of a particular portion of the spectra is present. When light is outside our eyes bandwidth we see nothing or black.

That, however, is simply a human limitation, and one I am certain generations of humans in space would eventually outgrow. As we became more expansive in our spectral coverage - space would slowly change from black to the many colors we see in our own visible light spectra - and eventually to various intensities of white or "light".

I think the space artists which portrayed multi-hued skies were simply ahead of their time...or using their inner eye. Perhaps some were not true humans at all.... ;-)
