There was something like this a couple of years back where a possible asteroid could also have been a booster.

Some more info on <a href=http://www.astro.queensu.ca/~wiegert/3753/3753.html<Cruithne, the existence of which was news to me as well. Sounds like a pretty distant companion--the new one seems to be a lot closer.
