The Return of Hermes! *Sigh*

It's getting a little depressing seeing concepts slmost 20 years old being pushed as new and innovative programs. If you go back as far as DynaSoar, it gets even more depressing. We were close to orbiting a one-man reusable space plane on the nose of an expendable almost forty years ago.

Our current space industry, given the technological heritage we now have to draw on, should be able to whomp up a working spaceplane that would fly on the nose of one of the bigger launchers for one heck of a lot less time and money than they are currently discussing.
