15 years ago, I said "no thanks" to Hermes
Fifteen years I worked for the German Aerospace authority (then the DFVLR, now the DLR). I was tired of living in Europe (the weather sucks!!) and in the later phases of resigning my job. To keep me in Germany, my former boss dangled all sorts of stuff in front of me including Hermes. I told him quite frankly that Hermes was the DynaSoar reincarnated and that it would probably never fly.
It's embarassing to me as an American to see this proposal of putting the CTV on the end of a Delta.
